What To Expect

Corfu Town

After meeting our guide the first food stop is in a place at the center of historical center in Corfu Town called "the saint" where we will have a typical greek brunch. The brunch includes the traditional greek cheese pie, spinach pie, custard cream pie, ginger beer, baklava and then famous greek yogurt.

Lazaris Distillery & Artisan Sweets

Our second food stop will introduce our visitors the local kumquat fruit. We will try the kumquat liquor, the kumquat flavored greek delights and the "mandolato" a corfiot sweet made of nougat.

The only traditional dairy shop left in Corfu Town since 1950 that you will have the opportunity to taste the famous Corfiot fresh butter that they make every day, a pudding and galaktoboureko (cream pie).

Sweet 'N Spicy Bahar Shop

In this stop we will have a chance to introduce our visitors to the first ingredients and spices of the Corfiot food and have an olive oil tasting as olive oil was major income of Corfu for centuries. The owner of the shop will give us tips and some secret advices of cooking some of the famous greek foods.

Corfu Old Town

Our tour would end up at a restaurant where we will have a seated lunch/dinner. We will try the local traditional food of Pastitsada and Sofrito. Our clients will try ouzo or wine and can relax enjoying a meal at the end of then tour.

Great Way to See and Taste Old Corfu

We had a great tour with Nausica. We did the morning tour and as commented on don’t eat before - you will find it filling, Food stops were excellent with local food you wouldn’t find on your own.Two Roosters at the end was excellent. History of Old Town and glimpse into the life of local people. Fabulous way to see city and highly recommended.

A must when visiting Corfu town

Our tour guide Nausica was so knowledgeable about Greek food and it’s influences. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and had the most delicious food. We learnt so much and had the best time. We are so glad we went on this tour and it is certainly worth every penny. Nausica really spent time explaining things to us and we thank her for an amazing tour and being so lovely.

Our family did a great tour of Corfu with Arita. She was so informative and took us to a number of great shops and restaurants to sample Corfiot foods, drinks, and spices. We also loved hearing about her life on Corfu. We had our kids with us (ages 9 and 7), and they were happy as well. Would definitely recommend.

A really great 1/2 day tour with Arita, enjoying some of the tastes of Corfu and Greece. We learned a lot about the society, economy and culture of the island. Lots and lots of food to try in some wonderful small businesses. Arita was so friendly and considerate. Absolutely recommended

Our family of four adults enjoyed a delicious & informative Small Group Corfu Gastronomy Tour with owner Arita Katsarou on June 27. I Highly recommend this tour to those who appreciate a passionate tour leader with extensive knowledge of history and personal relationships with restaurant owners. We ate our way around Old town Corfu for 3 hours with stops in seven venues to sample local foods and drinks and ending with a delightful Greek lunch. I would give more than five stars if possible. Best features include small group (6 or less), passionate tour guide, personal knowledge, and local owner.
