I cannot recommend this tour enough, what a truly amazing experience. George and the team are so passionate, knowledgable and fun! It was one of the highlights of our trip :) We arranged to be picked up from Benitses in the morning by George and he was bang on time. Lovely air conditioned mini van, with an enjoyable drive up to the farm The tour around the factory was informative and enjoyable and the olive oil tasting was really immersive. The flavour of the oils was the most intense, delicious flavour I have ever tried from any olive oil before. It was such a fab experience to learn not only about the process, health benefits and flavours of olive oil but the deep rooted connection that the olive oil farmers of Corfu and the rest of Greece, have to the trees. Do not miss this experience if you are visiting Corfu
We were picked up at the cruise terminal in a small bus,van. It was a comfortable ride across the island to the farm. The introduction to the process was interesting and conducted in English. The tasting was a learning experience and the opportunity to watch as he filled the containers with fresh olive oil for us to purchase was entertaining at the same time. We returned to the cruise terminal via a different route that allowed us to go see a 1500 year old tree and different scenery on the island.
Great experience, the museum tour and tasting were very interesting, but the extended tour to the olive trees, including a 1500yr old tree were truly terrific. Great guide with a lot of knowledge on the olives and processing.
This was an excellent tour. Our guide George, was very knowledgeable about the area and growing olives and producing olive oil. His enthusiasm made the tour great. Learned a lot about olive oil.
This tour was very enjoyable and informative. The only thing we, myself and others in our group, did not like is the length of the tour. What was said and the things we saw and tasted, could have been done in half the time. They dragged it out way too long. If the time of the tour was cut in half, I would highly recommend it and give it 5 stars.
