About this activity

Our Cruise to Albania from Corfu is aimed at adventurous travellers seeking something out of the ordinary. From the Port of Corfu, we follow the Albanian coast to the city port of Saranda. After a short coffee break in Saranda, a 20 km guided coach tour of the south coast’s virgin shores and scattered islands is available for those who want it. Leaving the mainland again, we pass small picturesque villages and endless fertile plains that lead to a great lake. The highlight of your day will be a visit to Butrint – an UNESCO World Heritage site. Over the centuries, the ancient town had disappeared under layers of silt and vegetation. In recent years, however, archaeologists have uncovered some of the finest working town remains in the Mediterranean. At the edge of the lake is the ancient city of Vouthrota. Lunch is served upon your return to Saranda. In the afternoon, there will be a walking tour of Saranda, after which we depart for Corfu.

Trip to Albania

The beautiful country. Good English translator. Good history. Nice trip to Butrint. Just need to wear comfortable footwear. Long walk in old city... Was good lunch. And visited beautiful city of Albania. Recommend it One thing what I don't like it was border in Greece. Not enough worker in the passport department. Long queue.

Well worth the time, money and effort !

Well worth the time, money and effort. Highly recommend this trip. Taking the cruise in late September when the weather is still a balmy 25°C- 28°C but much less full people wise. The UNESCO site was fascinating, only wish we could spend more time (that's just my preference) the lunch was buffet style at a gorgeous hotel, then on to some free time in Saranda before heading back to the port. Customs was easy to get through going there and back, but during the summer I can imagine the queues can be excessively long so keep than in mind if you're booking during peak. On a sunny day its more than enough before having to head back on ferry, otherwise I can imagine it would become exhausting and unpleasant. Overall a massively enjoyable trip ! Gloria our tour guide for the english guided coach was a delight and as a local, extremely knowledgeable and willing to help in any way. A trip ill remember forever

Overall, well worth the trip.!

Great day out, well worth it and good value for money. Very pleasant boat trips there and back. Trip to Butrin very interesting, the guide knew her stuff and would do it again. One bit of advice though, there are a lot of steps and steep climbing involved, i use an elbow crutch due to an ankle injury, and i must admit i did find the end of the visit dificult, but i made it!!!! The guide did warn that it would be difficult and she was quite happy to go slowly when i had to.So, effort needed to do that part! Then we had a buffet lunch in Saranda plus we had a good hour to look around and to do some shopping. The town itself is very pretty especially along the promenade. Can use euros or their own currency ( i forgot what its called lol), so no worries there. Coach transfers there and back included. Need to pay 10 euros port tax on the boat, but everything else all included in the price. So , yes, great day!!!
